The Yale Economic Development Symposium is an annual student-run conference at the Yale School of Management that brings together senior thought leaders, practitioners, and investors from academia, government, NGOs, and the private sector to discuss the latest issues in economic development.

The 2024 Yale Economic Development Symposium will demystify the aftermath of legislative commitments and give the audience a clear understanding of the challenges and the work that is being done to actualize legislative goals in the US and abroad.

In the wake of an unprecedented influx in economic development funding via the CHIPS Act, the IRA, the IIJA, and more, this Symposium will dissect the efforts taken to move from policy to practice.

Our panels will discuss Building State Capability, Inclusive Prosperity, Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, and Workforce Development. Our final Faculty Panel will highlight the work and experiences of our esteemed faculty at Yale to provide guidance for students interested in economic development careers.
